Today at NGLA BSU's delegation of Greek leaders had the pleasure of experiencing Phired Up's Social Excellence presentation. For some, this was our second time experiencing the program. However, this is the third time in the span of a month that I have had the opportunity to learn from Phired Up's lessons on how to be a socially excellent person. Being socially excellent doesn't mean one has a vibrant social life on Thursday and Saturday nights. It means being an individual who isn't afraid or unable to develop numerous different connections with a variety of people on a daily basis. When making these connections the socially excellent transcend traditional conversations and seek to make them memorable experiences for those they engage, entering 'Fun' zones and 'Deep' zones. People who work to develop theses skills in human connection can do truly amazing things. Like Shira and Matt from Phired Up encouraged us, I encourage those reading this blog to go out today and make a socially excellent connection with a person you encounter, it can be anybody!
Enjoy the World and Do it with a Smile,
Matthew Mullen
