Night 1: The Beginning

1:30pm and the van left Bridgewater, Massachusetts heading south towards the Mariot Hotel Hartford, Connecticut. Heading to NGLA was an interesting trip. I sat in the back with Swiddy and Amanda, and during the trip Amanda and I joked around and talked until the last hour of the ride when we then decided to read our books. Once arriving to the hotel we all knew the fun that was ahead of us. We immediately had a team builder the first minute we entered the garage which was hilarious. We all had to help MB park the van because of the difficult parking spots. Was really funny and started off the trip with some humor.

After getting settled in our rooms and having some funny moments getting subway for dinner, we all picked out our agenda for the weekend ahead. It was a very cooperative process I would have to say. We all got along and helped each other choose meetings that was interesting to each person and would impact their organizations too. Soon following this we all attended an opening ceremony where we had a variety of icebreakers that really opened us up to over 30 different Greek members that we had never met before. Even after the event all of us were talking to fellow brothers and sisters from other chapters and it was a really good time. Back at the room me, Amanda and Dan all hung out and talked about how well the day went. Me and Amanda now have an inside joke "Tigga Please" a referring to Winnie the Pooh which is so funny. It has been a great experience in the first night and looking forward to the next two days! GO NGLA!
